Clara H Turnbow

Clara Turnbow, age 92, died on June 8. She was predeceased by her husband of 69 years, Walter Turnbow; her brother, Johnny Hubach; and her sisters, Betty Catlett and June Faith.
Clara was born in Judsonia, Arkansas. Upon graduation from Arkansas State Teacher's College, she worked as the secretary to the superintendent of Springdale Public Schools. After marrying, she devoted herself as a housewife and mother to her daughters Terri Turnbow Dombrowski and Karen Turnbow. She also enjoyed visits from her granddaughter, Kimberly Kessler; and her great grandchildren, Cora and Aaron Kessler.
In service to her community, Clara was a Red Cross volunteer, a Washington County poll worker, and a Girl Scout leader. She attended the First United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Builders Class. She was also a member of Music Club and Beta Sigma Phi.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 10, 2023 at 10 AM at Bluff Cemetery in Springdale with Rev. John Fleming officiating. Donations to the Walter Turnbow Endowment for Education of the Springdale Education Foundation, 409 N. Thompson, Springdale, AR 72764, or the First Church Foundation, 206 W. Johnson Ave., Springdale, AR. 72764, are requested in lieu of flowers.
