David Gene Ramsey

David Gene Ramsey, 60, of Springdale, Arkansas, passed away on August 11, 2025, in his hometown of Springdale. Born on September 19, 1964, in Springdale, David spent his life rooted in the community he loved. Over the years, he embraced many roles-father, son, brother, uncle, father-in-law, brother-in-law, grandfather, and friend-and filled each one with unwavering love, kindness, and guidance. His presence brought joy to those around him, and his legacy is one of warmth and wholehearted devotion to family. David is lovingly remembered by his daughter Chelsea Doudy and her husband Clayton; his grandsons Luke and Caleb Doudy; his sister Denise Bilderback and her husband Billy; his brother Todd Ramsey and his wife Julie; six nieces and nephews; and five great-nieces and great-nephews whom he loved deeply. He was preceded in death by his father Sherlie Ramsey; mother Earlene Thomas; and stepfather James Thomas. A devoted grandfather, David rarely missed a moment of Luke's or Caleb's baseball or soccer games. He found deep joy in spending time with them-sharing their interests and celebrating their accomplishments. Whether cheering from the sidelines or simply hanging out together, David cherished every opportunity to be part of their lives. An avid Razorback fan through and through, David took great pleasure in watching University of Arkansas sports-especially when he could enjoy the games alongside his brother Todd. These moments were more than just pastimes; they were treasured traditions that reflected David's loyalty to both team and family. Those who knew David will remember him as kind-hearted, intelligent, witty, and always joyful. His goodness radiated through every interaction. He approached life with a generous spirit and a deep appreciation for the people around him. In every role he held-whether offering advice as a father or sharing laughter as a friend-he gave fully of himself. David's memory will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege to know him. May his legacy of love continue to inspire those he leaves behind.
