Clarance Alvin Chipman, 86, passed from this life on August 21, 2025, in Oklahoma City, OK. Born on May 7, 1939, in Chester, Oklahoma, Clarance was the son of Alvin and May (Delong) Chipman. He was an Eagle Scout. He graduated from Seiling High School in 1957 and soon after married the love of his life, Norva Lea "Corky" Swallow, on August 26, 1958, in Chester.

Clarance was a man of unmatched loyalty, strength, and character. He was known for his orneriness and quick wit. He was the rock and backbone of his family-the glue that held everyone together. A man of strong hands and a tender heart, Clarance would do anything for anyone, always putting others before himself. Whether you needed a motor rebuilt, a sandbox built, a ramp for a wheelchair, or a playhouse for the grandkids, he was your guy. There wasn't much he couldn't fix or create.

He owned and operated Chipman Rebuilder for many years before retiring, earning a reputation as a hardworking, honest, and dependable craftsman. In his free time, Clarance loved to be outdoors, especially if it involved fishing or hunting-two of his favorite pastimes.

Clarance was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Corky; his brother, Melvin Chipman; his parents; and his son-in-law, Billy Bateman Jr.

He is survived by two daughters, Angela Kay Bateman and Fonda Logston (Mitch); sister, Alvena Brintnall , brother, Vernon Chipman(Sandy), grandchildren Billy Ray Bateman III (Stephanie), Leslie Madrid (Jason), Leea Mote (Wes), and Cody Logston (Morgan); and 11 great-grandchildren: Preston, Krista, Chastity, Kailyn, Noah, Cason, Paisley, Candan, Maddock, Lincoln, and Beau. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and a host of friends who were like family.

Clarance's life was a testament to love, loyalty, hard work, and deep family bonds. He will be remembered for his caring heart, warm smile, generous spirit, and the quiet strength that guided his family through every season of life.

He was truly one of a kind-and he will be deeply missed.

Services will be on Thursday August 28 at 11:00 am at the Lynlee Mae Chapel & Event Center, 507 E Main St., Moore, OK 73160
