Clarence Adams

Clarence James Adams, 46, of New Orleans, LA, passed away on June 26, 2025, just two days after celebrating his birthday on June 24. Born in 1979, Clarence was more than a name-he was a vibrant, creative force whose presence enriched the lives of many. The beloved son of the late Alvin and Joyce Adams, Clarence shared his gifts with the world through music, visual art, poetry, and powerful spoken word performances.
He is deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his children, Amonie Adams, and stepfather to Talir, Miguel, and Shayne, who were the center of his universe. His spirit lives on in his grandchildren-Kehlani, Emmorie, and Leilani-whose lives will continue to be shaped by his love. Clarence's memory is also held close by his siblings: Alvin, Avis, Darryl, Al, Orrin, Antoinette, Jermaine, Marcus, and Rebecca, each of whom shared unbreakable bonds and treasured memories with him. His many nieces and nephews will remember him for his humor, compassion, and unwavering support.
Clarence is now reunited in peace with his parents, Alvin and Joyce Adams, and his nephew, Marcus Adams Jr.
He is also remembered by his former spouses, Joslyn Adams and Montrainque Adams, who each walked with him through meaningful chapters of life. His memory is cherished as well by a son-in-law and two daughters-in-law.
Known artistically as Sincere Da Dreamer and Yaacob, and affectionately called James by his mother, Clarence was a beacon of creativity and authenticity. His passion for expression and his ability to connect with others left an indelible impression on all who knew him. His legacy-rooted in love, artistry, and truth-continues to inspire and uplift.
