Obituary of Clarence Samuel Caesar
Clarence Samuel "Sam" Caesar went home to Jesus on July 6, 2022, surrounded by family at the age of 77.
Sam, as he was known by all, was born to Amando and Marie (Hopkins) Caesar on January 11, 1945, in Silver Lake, Indiana. He grew up in a loving family with his three brothers and one sister. Sam Attended North Judson High School before enlisting in the United States Air Force. As a rank of E4, Senior Airman for the Air Force, Sam saw action in Vietnam and he had many amazing stories of his time as an intelligence advisor with MACV. He wrote letters home to his future wife, Bernie Mispagel, detailing his time overseas and his desire to come home to her.
After the war, Sam returned home and married Bernie Mispagel on April 27, 1968. They moved to Arvada, Colorado after his discharge from service, and together they built an amazing life. Sam was a computer programmer, utilizing the skills he acquired in the Air Force, the discipline and patriotism he learned in the Air Force never left him. Together they had three beautiful children. Upon retirement, Sam and Bernie moved to Johnstown, Colorado where they were welcomed with open arms. They have loved being part of the tight-knit community and truly felt Johnstown was home.
Sam is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Bernie, as well as his children Jeff (Kelly), John (Chrissy), son-in-law Gary Vittorelli, and his 4 grandchildren as well as his siblings Mike Caesar, Lois Patterson, Phil Caesar, and Jim Caesar.
