Clarence S. Craft

Clarence S. Craft, age 66, passed away Saturday, December 6, 2025 in Clothier, West Virginia after reconnecting with his grandchildren.
On April 26, 1959 Clarence was born in Portsmouth, Ohio. The son of Clarence S. Craft and Romana J. (Hamilton) Jarrells. Clarence received his education from Fairfield School for Boys.
Clarence was a man whose hands and heart were never still. A true jack of all trades, he could tinker with, repair, or improve just about anything he set his mind to. Whether he was fixing something broken, crafting something new, or simply exploring how things worked, Clarence carried an unfailing curiosity and a talent that seemed to flow as naturally as breath.
Clarence was also an avid and joyful collector. His love for Sci-Fi, especially Star Trek, filled his shelves with memorabilia that reflected his sense of wonder and imagination. Over the years he also built treasured collections of coins, brass pieces, die-cast cars, and action figures. Each item he collected told a story, and each one sparked the same childlike excitement in him every time he rediscovered it.
Among his greatest joys was sharing this passion with his grandchildren. Clarence introduced them to the simple and beautiful hobby of rock collecting, turning countless walks into small adventures filled with discovery. The rocks they found together became tiny reminders of time well spent, stories shared, and memories made.
Clarence will be remembered for his generous spirit, his creativity, and the way he brought fascination and fun into the lives of those around him. His family and friends carry forward not only the collections he left behind, but the lessons he taught about curiosity, patience, and taking joy in the little things.
Left to cherish his memory is his beloved mother, Ramona J. Jarrells; daughter, Crystal Fyfe; 6 grandchildren; brother, Ernest Craft; sisters: Wendy Shope, Ramona McCormick, and Monica Moore; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made out to Snyder Funeral Homes to directly assist the family with funeral expenses.
Services are being observed privately by the family.
