Clarence Daniels Obituary
Family will receive friends on Friday, May 17, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 p.m. at White's Funeral and Cremation Services, 867 S. James Road, Columbus, OH 43227.
Clarence Waymon Daniels was born January 16,1953 to the late Clarence and Annie K. Daniels in Columbus Ohio.
Clarence was affectionately known as "Big Dan." He graduated from Columbus Central High School in 1972. During his time there, he played on the Central Pirates basketball team. On a scholarship, he pursued a bachelor's degree at the University of Northern Iowa. This led to a lifetime career working in the juvenile correctional system. Clarence was dedicated working as an advocate for the youth in the community, for which he was admired and respected.
Clarence went on to retire from the Franklin County Clerk of Courts/Detention Center. He later continued working at the Circleville juvenile correction facility and finally the Alvis House.
Clarence loved sports. He also worked as a basketball referee though the City of Parks and Recreation, the Jewish Center, and the annual event The Gus Macker. He and his wife worked as umpires for the city of Columbus, and tournaments as well.
Clarence was a Cleveland Browns fan. He played in the Columbus men pool league for Sunset Lounge and D1 Happy Family. He loved playing dominos, cards, and sudoku. He was an artist, enjoyed drawing, sketching, known for "doodling" abstract figures and other things. Clarence was quiet and laid back although a giant in stature, he was always helpful.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Birtho Arnold.
Clarence leaves to cherish memory, loving wife, of 43 years, Saundra K. Hall- Daniels, Daughters; Tracey (joe) Daniels, Monique (Leroy) Hall, son Clarence (Cassandra) Daniels, Raymon Daniels, and special son Randy Lewis
Grandchildren Que'Air, Sir Blake, April, Aaron, Alexis, Clarence III, chance, Armani, Nadia, Isaiah, Xavier.
