Clarence "Joe" Fournia, 94, of Bridge Street, Redford, joined his late wife in heaven on what would have been her 95th birthday, September 28, 2025, from his home, under the loving care of his family and Hospice of the North Country.

He was born in Redford, March 20, 1931, the son of Ernest and Vada (Devins) Fournia. Joe grew up in Redford and attended Sallaz Academy, also in Redford.

Joe served with the United States Navy proudly, until his honorable discharge, June 15, 1954.

He married Margaret "Mag" Pellerin, December30, 1950. She predeceased him March 10, 2002.

Joe dedicated many years to the NYS DOT, until retiring in 1990.

He was an active community member and belonged to the Elks, Moose, VFW, AMVETS, and the American Legion.

Joe was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed time at his camp, Cedar Hollow, hunting, golfing, and bowling.

Left to cherish the memory of Joe are; his children, Linda and Michael Tedford, Rick and Gale Fournia, Brad and Kathleen Fournia, Kevin and Julie Fournia, Steve Fournia and Cheryl, and Scott and Tammy Fournia; grandchildren, Jessica LaClair, Michael Tedford, Carissa Fournia, Danielle Siskavich, Zackery Fournia, Logan Fournia and Katelyn Bissonette; 12 great-grandchildren with one on the way; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife and parents; he was predeceased by his grandson, Richard Fournia; and sisters, Agnes Turner, Beatrice Gilmet, Evelyn Miner, Blanche Collins, Jeannette Pellerin, Jean Miner, Monica Wainwright, Anna Mae Peck, and Vada Ano.

Calling hours will be held Wednesday, October 1, 2025 from 4 to 6 PM at the Hamilton Funeral Home, 294 Mannix Road, Peru. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Thursday, October 2, 2025 at Noon at the Church of the Assumption in Redford. Committal prayers, full military honors, and burial will follow in the parish cemetery. A reception will follow at the Saranac American Legion.

Donations in his memory may be made to the Saranac American Legion to their North Country Honor Flight Fund.
