Abbeville, LA -- Funeral services for Clarence Joseph Levy, Sr. are scheduled for Saturday, May 24, 2025 for 11:00 A.M. at Kinchen Funeral Home Chapel -- 218 North St. Valarie Street (337) 898-9595. Visitation will be from 8:00 A.M. until time of service. Pastor Irving Simpson will officiate the services. Interment will follow at St. Paul Cemetery -- 517 Jacqulyn Street.
Clarence Joseph Levy, Sr. (85), was born September 16, 1939 in Abbeville, LA and was the son of Lernest and Gracie Levy. He was a long time resident of Westwego, LA and was the owner of Levy Construction Company where he poured concrete all over the city of New Orleans and surrounding areas for over 60 years.
Clarence Joseph Levy 's Legacy will live on in the hearts and lives of his wife, Delories Adams Levy of Abbeville, LA; as well as his children. Daughters are: Bridget Levy-Brown (Thomas) of Spring, TX; Denise Levy Wright (Joseph) of Kaplan, LA;) Ida Ruth Miles (George) of Westwego, LA; Sons: Clarence Joseph Levy, Jr. (Vanessa) of Abbeville, LA; Leroy Stevenson (Jeanie) of Gretna, LA; and Howard Lawson of Dallas, TX. Sisters are: Shirley Levine and Mary Castille both of Abbeville, LA; also twenty one grandchildren, thirty one great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, (too numerous to count), extended family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Lernest and Gracie Levy, sisters: Beverly Briggs, Dixie Trahan, Gracie Levy and brother Lernest Sonny Levy.
