Abbeville – Funeral Service for Brian Paul Pilette is scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Monday, May 5, 2025 in the chapel of Kinchen Funeral Home – 218 N. Saint Valarie Street – (337) 898-9595. Pastor Wayne Landry will officiate the service. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. until time of service.
Brian Paul Pilette (48), a long time resident of Abbeville passed away on April 22, 2025 at Oschner Lafayette General Hospital.
Brian Paul Pilette was born August 19, 1976 to Joseph Pilette, Sr. and Lillian Montgomery in Orange, Texas. Brian grew up in Erath, LA, where in high school he played football. He completed high school and began working offshore. From there he became a machinist/welder. With his long time job with Stabil-Drill he also went to trucking school at Stevens Transport where he received his CDL. Brian then got married to his wife, Sarah and gained a stepson.
Brian was a sweet but strong man who loved his family and friends. He would help anyone without hesitation. He loved the Dallas Cowboys football team and the Houston Rockets Basketball team. He loved BBQing, 18 wheelers, and Ford trucks.
Brian is survived by his wife, Sarah Spencer Pilette of Abbeville, LA; stepson, Iverson Spencer; mother, Lillian Montgomery (James); brother, Joseph Pilette, Jr. (Lynette) of Youngsville, LA; 2 sisters, Melanie Pilette of Abbeville, LA; Courtney Narcisse (Patrick) of Lafayette, LA; aunts, Theresa of Erath, LA; Azalea of Texas; Linda of Texas; Helen of Texas; and uncle Claude of Erath, LA; godchildren, Paul Pilette and Tyrik Pilette..
He is preceded in death by his father, Joseph Pilette, Sr.; brother, Derek Wayne Pilette; father in law, Glenn F. Spencer, and mother in law, Luna A. Spencer.
