Deacon Art Bakeler will conduct the service. All are welcome to attend and share in the remembrance of a life well-lived.
Jackie was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Her life was a testament to love, kindness, and unwavering faith. Born in Lafayette, Louisiana on August 28th 1968, she was known for her deep love of animals and her passion for plants, always surrounding herself with nature’s beauty. Those who knew Jackie were touched by her warmth, her humor, and her ability to share stories that would leave anyone captivated. She loved reminiscing about her life’s journey, her joys, her struggles, and the lessons learned along the way.
Her love for the simple things in life, like indulging in Cheetos and sweets, was only a small part of her vibrant spirit. Jackie had a heart that welcomed everyone, never judging, and always accepting people as they were. She was the kind of person who would never let anyone down, always offering a hand to those in need and listening with compassion.
A dedicated worker, Jackie’s strength and perseverance were unmatched. She lived a life of hard work and devotion, always walking hand-in-hand with God through every challenge and blessing that came her way.
Jackie’s legacy lives on through her family and friends, who will forever cherish her gentle spirit, her love for life, and the memories she leaves behind. She was a rock to her loved ones, a light in their lives, and her absence will be deeply felt by all who knew her.
She is survived by son Richard Anthony Lecompte lll; granddaughter Jaycee Myrtle Lecompte; four siblings, Daniel Aucoin, Brent Aucoin, Barbara Baron, and Jared Aucoin; and many nieces and nephews.
Jackie was preceded in death by her parents, the former Myrtle Boullion and Clarence Aucoin; and one sister, Darleen Aucoin.
