Clarence McCumber Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Thompson Smith Nesbitt Funeral Home and Cremation Services on Apr. 23, 2025.
Conneaut- Clarence P. McCumber, Jr., 61, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at UH-Lake West Medical Center.
He was born on November 21, 1963 in Erie, Pennsylvania to Clarence P. and Lois (Fiesler) McCumber. Clarence graduated from Conneaut High School.
Clarence was a dedicated employee of General Aluminum for 20 years. He was known for his love of conversation, especially over his CB radio. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing, firearms, and tinkering with anything that had a motor. Clarence had a lifelong affection for dogs, always sharing his home with a faithful companion. He had a deep fascination with the paranormal and could often be found sharing stories and theories with those close to him. Above all, Clarence cherished time spent with family and friends and held a special place in his heart for his beloved grandchildren.
He is survived by his children, Thomas (Lauren) McCumber, Jessica (Nikki) Reed, and Jennifer McCumber; mother, Lois McCumber; grandchildren, Kaleb, Hunter, AJ, Jacob, Dominic, Lucas and Phoenix; and his siblings, Barb Eaton, Charlotte (Scott) Boyd, Timmy McCumber, Kenny McCumber and Eric McCumber.
Clarence was preceded in death by his father, Clarence P. McCumber, Sr.; wife, Susan A. (Eaton) McCumber; sisters Robin Jenkins and Debbie Armstrong; and a niece Nychole Rose.
Private family services were observed. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the family in care of the funeral home.
Funeral arrangements entrusted to Thompson-Smith-Nesbitt Funeral Home, 345 Main St., Conneaut.

Clarence was a stand up guy...I was friends with Debbie and met her sweet brother through her. He was kind to everyone * whether they deserved it or not!) He believed in giving respect to small creatures and then we would be rewarded with love that was unconditional! He had an unconventional wisdom..So greatly missed big guy
