Clarence A. Owens Jr., a beloved father, grandfather, and friend, passed away suddenly on November 4, 2025, in Glendale Heights, Illinois. Born on April 4, 1963, in Chicago, Illinois, Clarence was a beacon of joy and laughter to all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Clarence's passion for business and development led him to bravely open his own business in 2013. His career was defined by the relationships he built; he was known as a powerhouse salesman and the hardest working person in any room. His remarkable work ethic not only brought him professional success but fostered lasting friendships that enriched his life.

Education was equally important to Clarence. He proudly became the first in his family to earn a Bachelor's Degree in finance from Southern Illinois University, where he was a proud member of Alpha Kappa Psi. His accomplishments were a source of immense pride for him, setting a strong example for his daughters and granddaughter.

He cherished family vacations that created countless memories, whether they were filled with the magic of Disney, the beauty of Jamaica, or the stunning vistas of the Colorado Rockies and Smokey Mountains. Those who knew Clarence will always remember his deep, belly laugh that resonated joy in every situation and the tender moments spent at Daddy-Daughter Dances with his daughters.

Clarence's personality was truly larger than life. He had a gift for making people smile, sharing jokes effortlessly, and lighting up every room he entered. His dedication to his family was unmatched; he embraced his role as “papa” with unparalleled love and devotion, constantly finding joy in his granddaughter Jaime’s every milestone.

Outside of his career and family, Clarence was an avid car collector with a special fondness for water sports enjoyed at the family cabin in Michigan. His adventurous spirit resonated through the way he approached life, always eager to try new things and create new memories with those around him.

In his journey, Clarence was supported by a loving family. He is survived by his daughters, Bridget and her husband Adam Peleska and Abigail Owens, his granddaughter Jaime Peleska, and his former partner, Helen Donnelly. He is also mourned by his sister Tammy and her husband Michael Owens-Barlow, along with their children Melissa and Michael Wellman, his brother Robert Owens and his wife Jenny, and their daughter Danielle. Additionally, he is cherished by lifelong friends, including Jim, Joe, John, and Bill to name a few.

He now rejoins his beloved father, Clarence A. Owens Sr., his mother Annie Sue Smith-Owens, and his grandmother Nan Owens in eternal rest.

Clarence's legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering support will continue to inspire all who had the fortune of knowing him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Visitation will be held at Salerno's Rosedale Chapels in Roselle, Illinois, on November 7, 2025, from 3 PM to 9 PM. A Mass to celebrate Clarence's life will take place at St. Isidore Parish in Bloomingdale, Illinois, on November 8, 2025, at 9:30 AM.
