Clarence "Blackie" Stann, 92, passed away on Jan. 28, 2023, in Richmond, Virginia.
Blackie was born to Morris Stann and Cecile Encalade Stann in Plaqumine Parish, Louisiana. Husband to Rita R. Stann. Father of Michael Perry Stann, Janice Nicole Moran, stepfather to Connie Falgoust and Olaf Ross.
He was predeceased by Ruth, Clara, Larry, Howard, Dewey, Carolyn, Gail, Solidia and Delvinia. He is survived by Matthew Stann. Also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and grandchildren.
Blackie lived in South Louisiana most of his life including NOLA, LaPlace and Hammond. He and his beloved wife Rita moved to Richmond, Virginia in 2021. He was a Korean War Veteran, Honorably Discharged from the U.S. Army on Sept. 24, 1953. He received various medals and citations.
Full Honor Military Services and burial will be held at Quantico National Cemetery in Quantico, Virginia on March 28 at 2:30 p.m.
