Clarice Anita Sholty, 95, of Anderson, passed away peacefully March 25, 2025, at White Oaks Memory Care, Noblesville. She was born September 12, 1929, in Anderson, Indiana.
A 1947 graduate of Markleville High School, Clarice dedicated her life to caring for others with love and selflessness. She noticed and appreciated the simple things in life: sunsets, campfires, and time spent with loved ones. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend whose home was filled with warmth, laughter, and kindness.
She was a longtime member of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, Ovid, serving as a board member and cemetery caretaker. She lived her faith through compassion and generosity.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Harold Sholty, parents Fred A. and Mary Carey, and brothers Don Carey and Clifford Carey.
Visitation will be Friday, April 4 from 3–5 PM at Loose Funeral Home, 200 W. 53rd Street, Anderson. A service will follow at 5 PM, with a reception from 6-8 pm. Burial will take place Saturday at 11 AM at Anderson Memorial Park.
