Clark Shera

Clark D. Shera, 69, of Westport, passed away at 11:19 a.m. on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at Decatur County Memorial Hospital. He was born on June 8, 1954 in Franklin, Indiana the son of Dwight and Betty J. (Conwell) Shera. He was a lifelong resident of Westport and a 1972 graduate of South Decatur High School. He was a farmer and an over-the-road truck driver. He was a member of Westport Baptist Church and a lifelong member of Abate Region #7. Clark enjoyed riding his trike, going to biker rallies, listening to music and spending time at the campground at Shera Lake. He is survived by his daughter, Jeanetta (Bryan) Bolser of Westport; his sons, Greg (Emily) Shera of Newburgh, Indiana and Zac (Jessica) Shera of Westport; a brother, Mark (Nadine) Shera of Cookeville, Tennessee and 7 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 8, 2024 at Bass & Gasper Funeral Home in Westport with Mr. Lanny Knapp officiating. Burial will follow at the Westport Cemetery. A time of visitation will be on Monday, January 8, 2024 from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
