Claud E. Posey

Claud E. Posey 81, of Blountsville passed away Friday December 12, 2025, at his residence. Claud was born on February 26, 1944, in Blount County, AL the son of Arthur Posey and Prudie Holland Posey. He was retired from Utility Trailer Company where he was shop foreman. He and Nancy Sorrow Posey celebrated their 60th anniversary this year.

He is survived by his wife: Nancy Posey; children: Lyn (Mike) Hambright and Timmy (Baranda) Posey; brothers and sister: George (Martha) Posey, Quilla (Ray) Miller and Roy (Sue) Posey; grandchildren: Taylor (Fabian) Berru, Matthew (Caitlynn) Harrison, Dylan (Katie) Posey and Ashlyn Posey; great grandchildren: Hayes Posey, Mia Berru and Olivia Berru; brother in law: Rex (Stephanie) Sorrow; special friend: Shelia Brooks; host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends; He was preceded in death by his parents: Arthur and Prudie Posey; sister: Laura Underwood; sisters in law: Shirley Jones and Carol (Woody) Faust.

Funeral Service will be Tuesday December 16, 2025, at 12 PM at Blountsville Funeral Home with Rex Sorrow delivering the eulogy and Greg Stone officiating. Burial will be in Fowler Springs Cemetery with Michael Murphree officiating the committal service. Visitation will be at Blountsville Funeral Home from 10:30 AM until service time at 12 PM. Pallbearers will be, Greg Posey, Woodrow Faust, III, Jon Faust, Paul Harrison, Mark McCombs and Mark Hewlett.
