Claude was born July 11, 1954 in Winnsboro, LA and passed away surrounded by his family Saturday, November 8, 2025 in Rayville, LA. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lamar and Vera Dean Hicks.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Dellie Hicks of Rayville, LA; children, Catherine Hicks Cowart of Rayville, LA and Dennis Hicks (Catelyn) of Log Cabin, LA; grandchildren, Justin Cowart. Austin Cowart, Dustin Cowart, Avalyn Rose Hicks, and Elijah Wayne-Allen Hicks; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Yesterday
so sad to hear of Clauds (little Claud) death. My memories of Claud were only good ones. Don't ever remember squabbling or fighting as we grew up together. We were the same age. Both 71 in 2025. The last time I saw Claud was in the Walmart parking lot in Winnsboro. I was hunting someone to help me out; my car would not crank. He gave me a boost. As i walked to the car getting ready to leave, He spoke out in a voice I will never forget; I love you he said. I replied I love you too. I still do love my cousin Claud. He was special.
