Claude Joseph Ritchot, 84, of Ladera Ranch, California, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family. He left behind a legacy of love, hard work, and devotion to family.
Claude was born in Saint Boniface, Manitoba, Canada in 1940. He made a career choice to move to California in 1966. There he built a meaningful life centered on his family and his work. He was the proud owner of Riverton Steel Construction Company, where his dedication, integrity, and vision left a lasting mark. Beyond his professional success, Claude was best known for his deep love of family, his kindness, and his passion for golf & hockey-sports he carried in his heart throughout his life.
Claude was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Diane Ritchot, his son Todd Jernigan, and grandchildren Matthew P. Jarricot and Lea Jarricot.
He is lovingly remembered by his children: Yvonne Walsh (Kevin), Yvette Ritchot, Nicole Ritchot, Rhonda Loughran (Gary) and Todd Jernigan (deceased) (Stephanie). Claude was a proud grandfather to Ryan Loughran (Jennifer), Chad Loughran, Dillon Jernigan (Krystal), Sean Walsh, Madison Standke (Stephan), Cameron Conrad, Megan Walsh, Lauren Jernigan, Julian Jarricot, Jenna Walsh, Kelly Jernigan and Grace Cook. Great Grandfather to Bree Loughran, Amelia Jernigan, August Standke, Sawyer Standke and Matthew M. Jarricot. His family will forever cherish his wisdom, guidance, and unwavering love.
Claude's wonderful life will be celebrated at a gathering of family and friends, where stories of his consistent warmth, incredible humor, and unique passion will be shared.
He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.
