Claude R. Willet, age 85, of Tomahawk, WI, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 29, 2025. He was born in Merrill, WI, on February 7, 1940, to the late Leo and Myrtle (Schroeder) Willet. He was married to Terry Frank on July 12, 1986.
Claude proudly served his country as a United States Marine for 20 years. During his service, he received several honorary medals recognizing his dedication and discipline. After retiring from the Marines, he returned to Wisconsin, settling in Tomahawk, where he continued a life of service to others. Claude worked for many years as a youth counselor at Lincoln Hills School where he approached his work with a genuine desire to help young people find their way. In his later years, Claude loved his gambling trips and fishing expeditions. He found contentment in the solitude of his home and enjoyed the outdoors.
Survivors include his sons, Ken (Helen) Willet and Jeffrey (Kate) Willet; and his sisters, Verdell Willet and Darlene Brunk. He is further survived by extended family members. Claude was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Myrtle; his wife, Terry; and his son, Raymond.
Inurnment for both Claude and Terry will be held at the Northwoods National Cemetery on Friday, May 15, 2026, at 1:00 PM. Generations Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting the family.
