After her arrival in Toledo, Ohio, she attended Mercy School of Nursing and received a nursing diploma. She practiced nursing at several hospitals in New York. until her retirement.
Her parents Nellie and Lionel Arthur; sister, Lynette Smith (Gordon) preceded her in death.
She leaves to cherish her memories her sons, Andre and Sean Blue; daughter, Simone (James) McBride; sisters, Janette (Kenneth)Robertson, Roxanne Fraiser; brothers, Lennox and Lindon Arthur; nephews, Emeka Robertson, Esan Smith, Jason Arthur; nieces, Chioma Robertson-Phillips. Viva Arthur; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
