SFC. Claudia Lee Huffman, United States Army Retired, 62, of Warrenville, SC, entered into rest on Thursday, September 4, 2025.
Born in Satellite Beach, FL, a daughter of the late Charles L. and Grace Elizabeth Durden Huffman Sr., she was a 1982 graduate of Midland Valley High School. Following her graduation from high school, she attended Aiken Technical College where she graduated with a degree in literature, she enlisted in the United States Army, retiring after twenty-one years of service, earning the rank of Sergeant First Class.
For her meritorious and honorable service, she earned the following: Iraq Campaign Medal with two campaign stars, Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, and the Global War on Terrorism Medal.
Claudia enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. However, nothing made her any happier than the cherished time spent with grandchildren, Ethan and Eli Saunders.
Along with her grandchildren, Claudia is survived by her only child, Amber Sheveily, siblings, Clarence (Diane) Huffman, William "Bill" (Andrea) Huffman, and Tim (Cassandra) Huffman.
A Graveside Service, with full military honors accorded by a United States Army Honor Guard, will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at 2 o'clock in Langley Cemetery, Langley, SC. Pastor Deter Lambert will officiate.
In addition to her parents, a brother Charles LaGene Huffman Jr. and a sister, Doris Bishop, preceded her in death.
Memorials in memory of Claudia may be given to the Alzheimer's Association. (www.alz.org)
