After a summer crisscrossing Europe by car, she settled in Boston, MA to join MassMutual and where she eventually met her husband of 53 years, Ronald (Ron) Naventi. After marriage they moved to Arlington, VA where they had their first son, Stephen (Steve), and eventually settled in Petaluma, CA in 1979 where they had another son, Christian.
She devoted herself to her family and children' s lives, and became an active volunteer at their school and extra-curricular activities. Volunteering for the successful campaign for Petaluma Joint Union High School District’s Measure B bond introduced her to the Petaluma Education Foundation (PEF), where she became an active participant and board member by demonstrating her ability to support PEF’s fundraising and mission. She later became a member of the Petaluma Women’s Guild; in addition to volunteering for Make-A-Wish.
Claudia’s diverse interests were shared with her husband and friends in retirement. This included travelling internationally, attending film festivals, museums, gardens, and other cultural institutions, both in the Bay Area and abroad.
Claudia had capacity for and nurtured many friendships. She was devoted to her family. She is survived by her husband, Ron of Petaluma, CA, sons Steve, of San Francisco, CA, and Christian, his wife Alexis Grant, and their daughter Lourdes all of Petaluma, CA.
