Funeral services for Claudia Elizabeth Smart, 78, will be held on Friday, July 26, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery, 219 Bethel Rd. in Logansport, Louisiana. A visitation will be held Friday, July 26, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Officiating the service will be Brother Ivy Shelton.
Claudia was born on March 10, 1946 to Henry Thomas Bolton and Betty Ida Moore in Logansport, Louisiana and passed away peacefully on Monday, July 22, 2024 at her sister’s home in Waskom, Texas.
Claudia was a resident of Greenwood, Louisiana. She was a wonderful mother, sister and Meme. She worked at Hall’s Grocery Store in Waskom, Texas for many years. If she wasn’t at work, she was at home playing her games or out enjoying her favorite food, which was Mexican.
Claudia is preceded in death by her parents, Henry Thomas Bolton and Betty Ida Moore; husband, Don Smart; brothers, Henry Edward Bolton, Bruce Bolton; stepfather, Ed Moore; and nephew, William Chester Johnson (Bill). Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Alyene Wells and husband, Larry, Angela Powell and Scott Hake; grandchildren, Erica Smith, Richard Rotondo, Johnny Rotondo; great-grandchildren, Andrew Mercer, Preston Rotondo, Talan Ward, Luna Rotondo, Bella Rose Torres, Brynlee Rotondo, Emma Riddle; sisters, Nora Johnson (Billy), Frances Griffin, Virginia Russell; brother, James Bolton; and many nieces and nephews.
Honoring Claudia as pallbearers will be Larry Wells, Jonathon Rotondo, Richard Rotondo, Chris Riddle, Andrew Mercer, and Scott Hake. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Talan Ward, Bill Johnson, and Preston Rotondo.
