Claudia Elizabeth Whiting

Claudia E. Whiting, age 74, passed away Sunday, February 1, 2026 in Fort Myers, Forida.

Claudia was born in Hamilton, New York on January 23,1952 to Mary and Lou Garrison of Earlville, New York. Claudia attended Earlville Central Schools and graduated from Sherburne Earlville High School in 1970. Claudia was a member of the S/E high school band and a cheerleader. Upon graduation Claudia attended SUNY Morrisville. Upon completion Claudia began employment with Norwich Pharmaceutical Company, where she spent twenty two years of employment for the company now Proctor and Gamble. Claudia held later positions of word processing manager and travel services manager. Upon P&G leaving Norwich, Claudia and her family moved to Rochester, NY, where Claudia was employed at Ziff Davis.

In 2005 Claudia and Rich moved to Fort Myers, FL where Claudia began employment with Service Contracting Solutions as an Office Manager for 15 years.

October 26, 1972, Claudia married Richard L. Whiting in St Bartholomew's Catholic Church, Norwich, NY. Rich and Claudia were married for 54 years.. Claudia is survived by husband Rich, of Fort Myers, FL her son Jeremy (Abbi) Whiting and granddaughter Corrina of Huntington Vermont her daughter Kristin Whiting (Max) Valleggi of Miami Beach, FL.

Claudia's passion for quilting left a lasting legacy. She stitched together memories in every quilt, providing comfort to everyone she loved. Sharing her passion for quilting with the Southwest Florida Quilters Guild community.

No funeral services at Claudia's request. Special thanks to the Heath Park medical staff and Hope Hospice medical staff for their caring and compassionate care. Memorial contributions may be made to St Jude's Children Hospital or Tunnel to Towers.
