He was born January 11, 1956, in Berlin, WI, the son of Robert and Lois Koechel Happersett. Clay was a 1974 graduate of Wautoma High School. On December 26, 1985, he was united in marriage to Victoria Yonke at Chapel of the Bells in Las Vegas.
Clay worked as a stone mason for Monacelli and Jeff Clark in Redgranite. For 20 years, he worked for Miller Masonry & Concrete Inc. in Little Chute. Clay enjoyed deer and duck hunting, fishing and boating.
He is survived by his wife, Victoria; son, Travis Piepiorka; three brothers, Thomas Happersett, Brian (Barb) Happersett and Robert (Linda) Happersett; aunt, Jean Monacelli; brother-in-law, Gary Peterson; and other relatives and friends. Clay was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Linda Peterson; aunts, uncles and other relatives.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday, September 22, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., at Barbola Funeral Chapel in Berlin. Anyone wishing to send a sympathy card to the family, please mail to Clay Happersett, c/o Barbola Funeral Chapel, PO Box 201, Berlin, WI 54923.
