Cleo "O'Quinn" Deel

Cleo O'Quinn Deel, age 75, of Honaker, Virginia passed away Saturday (January 17, 2026) at her home. Born May 17, 1950 in Buchanan County, Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Rice and Edgar Mae Owens O'Quinn. She had spent most of her life in the area and was a member of Swords Creek Block Church, her church and her family were her life. She had a caring heart, always willing to lend a hand by cooking or helping with donations for those in need. She was a wonderful cook, always ready to prepare and share a meal with her family, friends, and community. A devoted and loving mother and grandmother, she found her greatest joys spending time with her family, whom she loved dearly.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Curtis Deel; grandson, Colton Perkins; and son-in-law, Chris Perkins.

Survivors include daughter, Rebecca Perkins of Honaker and Curtis Deel and wife, Tammy of Roanoke; four grandchildren, Devon Perkins and wife, Jessica, Joanie Perkins, Wyatt Deel, and Bryson Deel; eight siblings, Mary Davis of Sevierville, Tennessee, Kathy Deel, Burnice O'Quinn and wife, Alice, and Jimmy O'Quinn all of Vansant, Greta Cook and husband, Mike, Rosa Farmer and husband, Johnny, Melissa Rasnake and husband, Dwayne all of Honaker, and Daniel O'Quinn and wife, Lisa of North Carolina; two great-grandchildren, Jonah Perkins and Mylah Perkins; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 PM Tuesday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Virginia with Rev. Steve Perkins officiating. Interment will follow in Greenhills Memory Gardens at Claypool Hill, Virginia.

Pallbearers will be Daniel O'Quinn, Burnice O'Quinn, Devon Perkins, Jeremy O'Quinn, Johnny Farmer, and Jimmy O'Quinn.

The family will receive friends from 12 – 1 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
