Cleta Leatrice Mitchell

Cleta Mitchell, 96, of Del City, OK, entered fully into the presence of the Lord on May 18, 2023. While she will be missed by many, we are blessed to know she is once again with her beloved husband and children.
Cleta entered this world on August 19, 1926, in Yukon, OK, born to Walter and Amanda Tinsley. She married Arthur Mitchell on November 19, 1944, in Okarche, OK, and made their home in El Reno, OK. Cleta was a lifetime member of Assemblies of God, and her faith was an essential part of her life. She played the organ, sang in the choir, taught Missionettes, made peanut brittle, and did anything else she could to help the church. Cleta was an exceptional tailor, avid quilter, and all-around crafter. She was kind and generous, loving to share her creations with family, friends, and neighbors.
She is preceded in death by her husband, son Michael Mitchell, daughter Kathryn Mitchell, daughter-in-law Sandra Mitchell, grandsons Andrew Martin & Marc Mitchell, parents, sister Lela Ellis, & brothers Paul & Walter Tinsley.
She is survived by her granddaughters: Monti (TJ) Jordan, Janice Lyn (Jim) Willard & Teresa Martin; great-granddaughters Courtney (Tommy) Cooksey, Erica Mitchell & Darion Jordan; great-grandsons Ryan Mitchell, Raiden Desha, Tyler Willard & Dylon Jordan; great-great granddaughter Nevaeh Pinion, numerous nieces & nephews.
Come and Go Viewing and Visitation will be from 8 am to 8 pm on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at Wilson Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held on 1 pm Thursday, May 25, 2023, at El Reno Cemetery.
