Cletus Alan Pingel, 72, of Fredericktown passed away November 28, 2025. He was born April 29, 1953 in Perryville, MO to the late Eldon and JoDeen (Roberts) Pingel. Cletus was a member of the United Church of God of Cape Girardeau for most of his life. He was a deeply spiritual man who loved God and his church, finding strength and purpose in his faith. A dedicated arborist, he took great pride in his work, especially in caring for trees and tackling the challenges of storm damage with skill and passion. He was an avid reader who enjoyed learning and exploring new ideas, and he had a remarkable gift for fixing just about anything. His steady hands, generous spirit, and unwavering faith will be remembered by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by five siblings, Tonya, Tina, Tracy, John and Clint.
Cletus is survived by his wife, Heidi (Alvord) Pingel; nine children, Alan Pingel, Lisa (Joe) Downing, James Pingel, Richard Pingel, Jason Pingel, April (Jaden) Starkey, Rahkeem Mitchell, Savanah Jones, Janet Jones (Trevor Haas); thirty-three grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Timothy Pingel and Darren (Carrie) Pingel.
Visitation will be held at the C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home – Wilson Chapel in Fredericktown on Wednesday, December 3, 2025 from 10:00 AM until the time of service at Noon with Rev. Gregory Dullum officiating. Interment will follow at Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery in Perryville, MO. Memorial donations may be made to United Church of God of Cape Girardeau.
