Susan DeSpain-Cooper Obituary
Susan “Kathy” (DeSpain) Cooper, of Farmington, passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2026, in St. Louis. She was born in Ironton, Missouri to the late George Junior and Dorothy Maxine (French) DeSpain.
She is preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Glenna Kay DeSpain; and father-in-law, Marvin Cooper.
Kathy loved going to the First Baptist Church of DeLassus. After graduating high school, she worked in clerical positions for the City of Fredericktown and for the Sheltered Workshop. She loved working with arts and crafts in her spare time.
Kathy is survived by her husband of 34 years, Brent Cooper; siblings, Karen L. Hoover, G. Keith (Phyllis) DeSpain, Kimberely A. (Roger) Ward; mother-in-law, Delores Cooper; many nieces, nephews, family, and friends also survive.
A memorial visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Homes-Wilson Chapel in Fredericktown, on Monday, March 30, 2026, from 11:00 AM until time of service at 1:00 PM. Pastor Mike McGuire will officiate the service. Arrangements are under the direction of C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Homes-Wilson Chapel.
