It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announced the transition of Minister Clifford Devine who entered into rest April 24, 2023.
Minister Devine was a graduate of North Augusta High School and a member of All About Change Ministries, Augusta.
Survivors include four sons, Darrell (Kelli) Holmes, Gerard Devine, Zephaniah M. Devine and Clifford Z. Devine, Jr.; three brothers, Curtis Devine, Charles (Lillie) Devine and Pastor Glenn (Angela) Bates; five sisters, Sadie Harris, Doris (David) Washington, Barbara Floyd, Regina Bates and Marjorie Moss; two grandchildren, Ryen and Sydnei Holmes; one aunt, Carrie Martin; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Saturday, April 29, 2023 at G. L. Brightharp & Sons Mortuary Chapel with Apostle Linda Wright officiating. Viewing will be held from 2-5:30 pm Friday at the funeral home.
Professional Services are under the compassionate care of G. L. Brightharp & Sons Mortuary-North Augusta.

It seems like yesterday that you were with us. Your spirit disappeared like vapor in the air. You are missed by us but truly we believe that you landed in Heaven!

I have been trying to reach Pastor Clifford for at least a year. I went by his home and called several times, nothing. I thought maybe he was resting because of resting. I continued trying to reach him. I told my friend, I had never gone this long without talking to him. If we didn´t see each other, or talk, I would catch him at home, or he would come to my house, or my job. Well, not this time. I told her, I wanted to invite him to Christmas dinner this year. I went by his home nothing. I didn´t see his truck, so I didn´t get out. The Friday before Christmas, I went by his house. Although, I didn´t see his car, I got out anyway. A gentleman came out and when I asked for Pastor Clifford, he told me of his transition. I was shocked and heartbroken. I am still in disbelief. Pastor Clifford was a great man, a great teacher of the word, and a great friend! He was trustworthy, reliable, and true to God! He loved God and he loved people! I miss him so much! If he could help me, he would. We helped each other. He was such a blessing! In his own way, he was also comical. I thank God, I knew him. He is always loved, always missed, and always remembered.
