Clifford "Dan" Eckdahl

No services are being held at this time for CLIFFORD "DAN" ECKDAHL, 82, who died at his home, in Torrington, on January 5, 2026. Cremation has taken place.

"Dan" was born June 14th, 1943, in Rock Springs, Wyoming, the son of Clifford and Bessie (Miller) Eckdahl.

Dan was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, fly fishing, golf, and snowmobiling.

He loved rodeo where he was a talented team roper.

Dan was a master electrician and operated Eckdahl electric out of Laramie WY. Dan

courageously served our country in the Vietnam war as a Lieutenant in the US Army. He

would often joke that he was the original "Lieutenant Dan" in reference to the movie

Forrest Gump. Dan attended Laramie High School where he originally met his wife,

Janice. However, 43 years would pass until the two would reconnect in 2007 and then

marry in 2008.

Dan was a dedicated husband, father and friend to many. His tough & caring nature and

life lessons will continue to be remembered by many of the people that he touched.

Dan is survived by his wife, Janice; his son, Brandin (and Frankie); grandchildren

Mckayla and Gabe Torres, Ty, Christian, Gabe, and Nina; and stepchildren Robin (and

Terrell Hastings, with children Abby and Eli) and Mark (and Tina Harvey).

He is proceeded in death by parents Clifford P Eckdahl,

Bessie M Eckdahl, and sister Helan.
