Clifford Gordon of Monticello, a local attorney and longtime resident of the area, passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2024 at the Garnet Health Medical Center in Middletown. He was 78.
The son of the late James Clifford Gordon and Dorothy Smead Gordon, he was born September 10, 1946 in Buffalo where he was raised.
Cliff was a graduate of Syracuse University and a member of the Bar Association since 1976, as well as a member of numerous charitable and non-charitable organizations. In his spare time he loved to go on walks and fishing with his visiting nephews.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years: Arlene Pilgrim Gordon, at home; a sister: Bonnie Gordon and her assistant of Claudia Kadryna of Buffalo; two brothers-in-law: Benjamin Murray and Carlton Murray (Gloria); Cliff's legal assistant Shannon Taylor; and a host of nieces & nephews including Elliott Murray.
A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, May 2, 2025 from 1:00 to 2:00pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny Funeral Home, 401 Broadway in Monticello, with a memorial service starting at 2:00pm.
Memorial contributions can be made to a charity of one's choice.
