Linda C. Klatt

Linda was born in Toms River, New Jersey on August 3, 1945 to parents Adolph and Eleanor Klatt. An only child, Linda had many fond memories of time spent with her beloved uncle Lawrence Bush, with whom she shared a lifelong love of the Brooklyn Dodgers.

Linda studied Journalism and Psychology at Syracuse University, where she attended on an academic scholarship received at age sixteen. She received an A.B. degree from Syracuse, and her law J.D. degree from the University of Connecticut in 1975. Linda opened a private law office in Avon, Connecticut, concentrating on both family and real estate law.

Linda moved to South Carolina in 1985 with her longtime friend Anne Doherty. They owned several businesses together in South Carolina, eventually settling in the Sea Pines Plantation on Hilton Head Island. Linda obtained her real estate license and passed the South Carolina bar exam. She worked as a real estate attorney and as a realtor for Remax in the Hilton Head area for many years, retiring in 2023.

Linda enjoyed her life on Hilton Head Island. She had a lifelong love of tennis, golf, boating, and sailing, even obtaining a boating captain's license. She especially loved her Weimaraner dogs Heidi and Katie.

Linda passed on August 27, 2025 in Hilton Head after a short illness. She will be missed by all whose lives she touched.
