Clifford was born April 23, 1942 at home in Ionia County, Michigan to parents Orley Harter and Geneiva Hancock. He started school in Hubbardston, Michigan and was transferred to Carson City, his folks soon moved to Carson City. He attended Carson City School until his graduation in 1960. During his high school years. He had many part time jobs with local businesses also worked for local farmers. Upon graduation, he attended Ferris State College. In September1964, he was drafted into the United States Army. In December 1964, he married Marilyn Frost. They spent two years in Germany while he served in 4th Armored Command, 404 Military Police Unit. After returning to the states, they lived in Lansing, Michigan until he returned to Ferris State College of an industrial electronics engineering tech program. After graduation he joined Consumers Energy where he worked until he retired in 2000. Clifford liked building cars and other things, he also liked to travel, camping, home maintenance, gardening and everything mechanical.
His wife, parents, one brother, a step brother, and a step sister all passed away before him.
He is survived by two daughters Daniele Kim Reasoner and Tracey Lynn Huey, four grandchildren Kendra Reasoner Zackery Reasoner and Kalei Huey, Taryn Huey, two brothers Don (Mary) Harter, Ron (Julie) Harter, sister Nancy (Dave) McClintock and a step sister Raylynn Hansen,
Cremation has taken place, a celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
