Clifford Hurst Jr. Obituary
Clif was born December 5, 1946 in Marietta, Ohio to Clifford Sr. and Virginia {Carpenter} Hurst.
He was a Marietta High School alumnus.
Clif married Carolyn McBride on October 23, 1971.
Clif was the proud owner of Yamaha City in Marietta and was a nationally recognized flat track racer and motorcycle builder. He retired from Smith Concrete in 2012. He was a true tradesman who took great pride in every job he completed. Clif was an amazing provider as well as a loving father and husband.
Clif will be deeply missed by his wife of 57 years Carolyn Hurst; children Tammy Clark, Tracy (William) Watkins and Michael Hurst; grandchildren Derek Moore, Jayson (Allie Maynard) Edgar, Cameron (Hannah Grady) Edgar, Brandyn Clark, Austin (Halei) Clark, McKayden Hurst and Layla Hurst; great grandchildren Macie, Myla, Kyler, Malcolm, Ailana, MaeDean and Taytum; sisters Jenny Ellis and Tammy (Dave) Schmidt; sister-in-law Sharon Hurst; brothers Bernard (Jenny) Hurst and Fred (Bonnie) Hurst.
In addition to his parents, Clif was preceded in death by his brother Lawrence Hurst, sister Lula Hurst; and Harold Allen.
Viewing will be on Thursday, May 9th from 4 to 8 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-East Lawn Chapel, 27880 St. Rt. 7, Marietta. Funeral services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Cara Clegg officiating. Burial will be at East Lawn Memorial Park.
