Clifford Ray Salas Jr. was born in Las Cruces, New Mexico on August 25th, 2001 to Clifford Ray Salas Sr. and Christina Castillo. He passed away on July 27th, 2024 in Manhattan, Kansas.
Clifford Jr. moved to Texas at the age of 10. He graduated from Robert M. Shoemaker High School in Killeen, Texas in 2020. After high school, he made the honorable choice of serving his country by joining the military. In February 2021, he enlisted into the United States Army. The United States Army sent Clifford Jr. to South Korea before stationing him in his final residing place of Manhattan, Kansas.
Clifford Jr. was his mommas golden child. He enjoyed dancing, laughing and spending time with his family and friends, making sure everyone had a good time. He loved fast cars, exploring the world and visiting Germany was on his bucket list. He also loved the colors red and green. Most of all, he loved making people laugh and helping others. He left a mark on anyone who had the chance to feel his love. His positivity and willingness to do anything for those that he loved was felt by family and friends who met him through all stages of his life.
He was preceded in death by maternal great-grandparents, Florentino (Susie) Castillo, Bennie (Luis) Aldaz; paternal great-grandparents, Juan (Mary) Salas and Frances (James) Lynch; maternal uncles, Andy Apodaca and Alejo Aldaz.
He is survived by his loving parents, Christina Castillo and Clifford Ray Salas Sr.; sisters, Alysha Castillo, Gabrielita (Gabbi) Salas, Anabeya Salas; brother, Daniel Salas; brothers from another mother, Cliff (X) Herring, Mountanez (Monty) Robinson Jr; maternal grandparents, Gaby (Danny) Castillo; paternal grandparents, Pamela (Tom) Morrow, Clifford J. Salas; several aunts and uncles; nieces Zariah, Harmony, Leylani (Rayne) Herring, Melody Salas; and his military family.
Honorable Pall Bearers: Daniel Salas, Ramon (Elijah) Trevizo, Cliff (X) Herring and Mountanez (Monty) Robinson Jr.
