Clinton Hicks Obituary
Clinton A. Hicks, age 56, of 322 Myrtle Drive, Petersburg, VA., departed this life at Southside Regional Medical Center, Petersburg. He was born on October 8,1965 in Greenville County, VA. He was the son of Catherine and Raymond Hicks, Sr. of Emporia, Va. He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Hicks, Sr., his mother, Catherine M. Collins, brothers, Anthony Antonio McNair and Raymond Hicks, Jr., and a sister, Angela Olivia Hicks.
Clinton was an avid Washington Redskins fan and loved to play Spades and was very family oriented. He was a dedicated Lumber Liquidators employee for 10 years. One of his favorite sayings was, "pull it to you and run!"
Clinton attended Petersburg Public and graduated in 1985. He leaves to cherish his memory a devoted and loving sister, Aletha McNair; his Stepfather, Rev. Claybon Collins, Jr. (Latishia) both of Petersburg; four aunts, Mary Ann Harrison of Emporia, VA, Margaret McNair and Eloise Stevenson of Petersburg, VA, and Patricia Hill (Wayne) of Prince George, VA; six uncles, Rufus McNair, Bernard McNair, Jeffrey McNair all of Petersburg, VA., Larry McNair (Alice) and Michael McNair (Lucille) all of Chesterfield, VA., and Tyrone McNair of Newport News VA; three devoted nephews, Delano A. McNair (Jimetra) of Ettrick, VA., Raymond Delenia and Rashad Delenia, both of Chesterfield, VA; two devoted nieces, Ashley McNair and Angela Plear (Darius) both of Petersburg, VA; numerous other relatives and friends.
A Celebration of Life service will be held 12 P.M., Friday, February 11, 2022 at the Bland Funeral Home Chapel, 137 Harrison St., Petersburg, VA, Rev. Robert Williams, officiate and Rev. Leroy Evans, pastor, Union Baptist Church, Spring Grove, VA, eulogy. Interment will follow at Dinwiddie Memorial Park.
