Clinton Dale Pack was born on February 3, 1935 in the Carlyle Road area near Vian, Oklahoma where he lived as a young boy before moving to Warner, Oklahoma at age seven. He went to Warner High School to the 9th grade where he met and married Betty Jean Miller. He went to work farming and working in the area eventually acquiring his own land south of Warner where he raised his family of five daughters, an adopted granddaughter, acres of gardens and too many livestock to number. He was part of a group of men whose backbreaking labor resulted in the completion of the Eufaula Dam near Porum, Oklahoma. He began a successful welding career in Warner sometimes working in partnership with Roger Murray and Wayne Hammans, both loved and trusted friends. He was one of the first Brahma ranchers in the area and loved his cattle. While he worked hard every day, it was his passion for wild hog hunting that drove him. He and Wayne Hammans were and remain infamous in the area for the hordes of wild hogs they hunted and eliminated and their well- trained dogs. In his retirement years you could find him having coffee every morning with the men he loved and trusted, lunch at the Senior Center with townspeople and the staff whom he adored, and tirelessly coaxing his land to produce another year. He loved living life with his family, many friends, acquaintances and neighbors in Warner, his town. He never met a stranger and has helped countless people along his journey. He waged a courageous battle against his conditions and outlived numerous poor reports. On October 21, 2025 at age 90 he left this world from his own home surrounded by many of his family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Lawrence and Cherry Pack, siblings Gerald Pack and Vera Ward, wife Betty Miller Pack, grandson Cortney Baize, and granddaughter Megan Wildcat. He is survived by his children Carol Elaine and Russ McKenzie of Cromwell, Anita Wildcat of Tahlequah, Tina Sherryl and Mike Delozier of Tulsa, Karren Pack of Warner, Sandra Carson of Warner, adopted granddaughter Tiffany Newton of Warner, 11 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and 8 great, great grandchildren accounting for 62 direct descendants. He was a beloved Uncle Clinton in the family of Wayne and Sandra Hammans and Charles Gage and Paig Hammans and their children whom he loved as his own. Clinton Pack was greatly loved.
