Mark Pierce Obituary
Obituary published on Legacy.com by Clifford D Garrett Family Funeral Home and Crematory - Muskogee on Oct. 23, 2025.
Mark Robert Pierce, 59, of Braggs, Oklahoma was born June 29, 1966, to James Pat and Joyce Geraldine (DeMuth) Pierce in Muskogee, Oklahoma and passed away Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at his home.
Mark was so many wonderful things. He was a loving son, a loyal brother, a proud dad, the best Papa, the fun Uncle and a genuine friend to so many.
He was the life of the party and never met a stranger. Witty, funny, and full of charm, he brought joy wherever he went. Mark had an infectious laugh and a smile that could light up a room. His humor and personality were impossible to forget-the kind of presence people were naturally drawn to.
Mark loved baseball. As a Senior in high school, he led the Braggs Wildcats to State, beginning a lifelong passion for the game.
After graduation, he started working for OI-Brockway and spent 25 years in the hot end. Every payday, he sent his mama flowers-a simple gesture that showed his big heart. His Daddy was his best friend and barber, a bond he cherished deeply. The love he had for his brothers was fierce.
Mark got married and started a family, which gave him his two greatest blessings in life-Patrick and Baylie. Being their dad was his proudest role, and he loved them with all of his heart.
Later, Mark started his own business, Native Stone Waterworks, where he combined his craftsmanship with his love of working outdoors. He was proud to be both a Masonic Mason and a Bedouin Shriner, always giving back to his community and helping others whenever he could.
Mark was an avid storyteller and the king of one-liners. He had a special nickname for everyone and a way of making each person feel known. He was truly one of a kind.
He had a deep love for his hometown of Braggs, where his Bedouin Shrine name-The Mountain Man-was born. He often said he could see everything he needed to from that mountain.
Mark also had a lifelong love of racing horses, especially his prized horses Mr. Moonspook and Mean as a Snake. The thrill of the races and the bond he shared with his horses brought him endless joy and pride.
While Mark had many loves and passions, his greatest was his grandson, Bubby, his pride and joy. Their bond was unmatched; a connection filled with laughter and love.
Mark had the biggest heart and was always ready to help anyone in need. He will be deeply missed by so many, but his spirit will live on in every story told, every laugh shared, and every mountain view that reminds us of him.
Rest easy, Braggs Mountain Man.
Mark is now reunited with his parents, James and Joyce Pierce; his grandparents, Charles and Maggie Pierce and Bill and Jean DeMuth; his nephew, Ketcher Smith; his sister-in-law, Debbie Pierce; Terri Readnour and Corey Washington.
