Clonita Lucille Risch, age 97 of Marion, Ohio passed away Saturday, August 17, 2024, at 3:40 a.m. following a short illness.

Lucille was born at home, November 16. 1926 in Big Island Twp. to the late William Henry and Gladys Edna (Zimmerman) Rasey. She graduated , May,1945 from Pleasant High School. She married Delmar W. Risch, December 2, 1945, at the Prospect Street United Methodist Church. Lucille became a member of the church in 1946 and remained a member her entire life. She served her church faithfully, taught Sunday School, became a member of the United Methodist Women and the Hilda Weiss Circle.

She was a volunteer at Marion General Hospital Twig Three for 30 years.

Lucille and Delmar shared 72 years of marriage and raised four children, Stephen Risch, Lima, Joseph (Janet) Risch, Marion, Ronald Risch, Kenton, and Conita Risch, Long Beach, CA. She has three grandchildren, Kimberly (Andrew) Zupfer, Erick (Paula) Risch, Kenton, and Matthew Keith Risch, Lima, six great grandchildren, Tyler and Ryan Zupfer, Levi Risch, Deana (Brent) Chevaliar, Lauren (Andrew)Cummins and Kasey Joe Risch, five great grandchildren, Wesleyn Chevaliar, Tinsley Kay Cantrell and Rowan, Paiselynne and Jaxon Cummins.

Lucille was preceded in death by her husband Delmar, daughter-in-law Terri (Long) Risch and 2 grandsons Roger and Scott Risch, 3 sisters Mary, Catherine and Phyllis. and 3 brothers Lawrence, Lowell and Gerald.

She had many niece’s, nephew’s, great nieces and nephew’s and great great niece’s and nephew’s.

They both loved dancing, loved traveling, camping, family dinners and family reunions.

A graveside service will be held September 21, 2024, at Pleasant Hill Cemetery starting at 3 pm, with Rev. Josh Freshour officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Prospect Street United Methodist Church, 185 South Prospect St. Marion, OH 43302 or Tranquility Hospital Memorial Fund, 1949 State Route 37 W Delaware, OH 43015.
