Clovis "Cap" Phillips, 61, of Crawfordville, Florida, passed away unexpectedly on July 14, 2025.
Originally from Buffalo, New York, Cap moved to Crawfordville three years ago with his family. He worked in the trucking industry as a dock man, and teamster, and most recently with the Leon County Public Works Department. Cap earned a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Buffalo. He was married to his beloved wife Michele Phillips for 34 years. Cap was known for his warm heart, quick wit, and deep love for his family. He was the heart and soul of those around him-a devoted father and a wonderful husband. He touched the lives of everyone who knew him. His hobbies included fishing, watersports, and spending time with his Bullmastiff, "Tank."
Cap is survived by his wife Michele Phillips, his son Joshua Phillips (Vanessa), and two cherished grandchildren, Scarlett and Ramsey. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clovis H. and Alice Phillips.
A celebration of life for Cap will be held on July 20th, 2pm at 22 Amy Ln Crawfordville, Fl 32327. Friends & family welcome.

hi Michelle, bryan mckenna here sorry to hear about Cappy. My wife passed away two weeks before Christmas this year December 7. Really sucks to lose somebody. we were together for 46 years. I miss her every day as I´m sure you miss cappy again. I´m so sorry love bryan

We meet Cap and Michele a couple of years ago and instantly became friends. We bonded over becoming Floridian transplants and being from military families. Cap and Michele loved hosting friends and family over for dinners and a good game of cards. We will miss Cap´s great personality and quick wit. Rest in peace dear friend!
