Clyde Harvey Giltz, 81, of Bowerston, passed away following an extended illness on May 24, 2024 at Cleveland Clinic / Mercy Hospital.
He was born on January 6, 1943 to the late Roland and Sarah (Fisher) Giltz in Massillon, OH.
He was a graduate of Washington High School and retired from the Heinz Company. Clyde also worked at Sam's Club. He was a quiet man. He enjoyed his children and grandchildren. Clyde enjoyed cooking, watching all sports, projects around his home and other tinkering projects.
Clyde is survived by his loving children, Michael C. Giltz and Matthew D. (Rachael Steed) Giltz; step-children, Marsha Ause, Michelle Rufener, Michael Burky, and Melissa Stutler; five grandchildren, Christian Giltz, Gabriella Giltz, Kayla Giltz, Brittany Giltz, and Taylor Giltz; four great-grandchildren; step-grandchildren; siblings, Kenneth (Cindy) Giltz and Sarah Jeanne May; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sue (Browning) Giltz; son, Timothy Giltz; and sister, June Crew.
Visitation will be held Friday, June 7, 2024, from 5:00 pm -7:00 pm at Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home, Massillon, with a memorial service at 7:00 pm in the funeral home, Pastor Michael Kager officiating.
