Clyde W. Jones Sr., affectionately known as "Angel Wings," passed away peacefully on June 13, 2025. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, Clyde left behind a legacy rooted in love, hard work, and unwavering dedication to his family. He was 73 years old.
Born in Meridian, Mississippi, on November 4, 1951, Clyde was a longtime resident of Denham Springs, Louisiana. He spent much of his life on the road as a proud truck driver, a career that reflected both his strong work ethic and his independent spirit.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Juanita Jones, and his sister, Mary Ann MaCalister.
Clyde is survived by his loving wife, Debra Jones; his three children: Bridget Stoklosa, Clyde W. Jones Jr., and Crystal Perkins; and his seven grandchildren: Christopher Fournet, Kyle Fournet, Austin Jones, Jacob Perkins, Jody Perkins, Caleb Perkins, and Breana Fournet. He is also survived by his sister, Wanda Guy, and several beloved nieces and nephews.
Clyde will be remembered for his gentle nature, generous heart, and his wide range of jokes that could brighten anyone's day. His sense of humor was matched only by his willingness to always lend a helping hand. Whether he was offering a word of advice or showing up when someone needed him most, Clyde's presence brought comfort and joy to those around him.
His memory will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation at Life Church on Thursday, June 19, 2025, from 5:00 PM until services begin at 7:00 PM. Burial will take place at 10:00 AM at Louisiana National Cemetery in Zachary on Friday, June 20, 2025.
