Clyde Karschner Obituary
May 1, 1930 - August 8, 2023
Clyde M. Karschner, 93, was born and raised in Omaha. He married his grade school sweetheart in 1950 and served in the Navy in the Korean War. He was a lithographer for over 30 years and a proud union representative. He loved his family, music, dancing, riding his motorcycle, fishing, boating, bowling, Husker football (most of the time), DIY projects, and a cold beer. He made friends easily and his warm smile, encouraging words, sense of humor, and bear hugs will be missed by many. He is preceded in death by his wife Leann, daughter Linda Karschner, parents Wesley and Blanche Karschner, brothers Albert, Grant and Lloyd, sisters June, Geraldine, Mary, and Ruth. He is survived by his daughter Elaine (Mike) Robinson, granddaughters Aimee (Jeff) Cizek, Ahnika (Ian) Gerson, Allison (Jessie) Evans, MacKenzie Robinson, Olivia Robinson, seven great grandsons and three great granddaughters.
A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, August 24, at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 7909 Mormon Bridge Rd, Omaha, NE 68152. Funeral mass will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, August 25, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 14330 Eagle Run Dr., Omaha, NE 68164, with a luncheon following services.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to The Hope Center for Kids or to the family for later designation.

Clyde and Leann and Linda used to come and listen to my band. He loved to dance and everyone would make room for the couple swing dancing or fox trotting so gracefully on the dance floor. The last time I saw him was at his home and he was still so tall and handsome! What a great man and blessing he was to his family. May he rest easy now.

Elaine and family, Aimee, it was with great sadness I read of Clyde's passing in the paper. He lived a good and full life but I will always remember him with kindness as Elaine and Linda's dad. Elaine, he always cared how you were doing in school back when I was your teacher at Holy Name. Aimee you were just a little girl but he use to dote over you as that special granddaughter. I wish I could be with you when you say your final good bye. In April I was back in New York as they found one of my sister's had cancer and I missed the chance to say good bye to lovely Linda and now I have to return to New York as she is dying of that cancer. Please know that I will keep all of the Karschner's in my prayers and my love and blessings go to you dear Elaine and dear Aimee.
