Boonville - Mr. Clyde “Roger” Reece, 89, passed away on January 4, 2025. Roger was born in Yadkin County on July 23, 1935 to the late Edward Roger Reece and Vernie Mae Jester Reece. 

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Carrie Mae Sneed Reece; sisters, Dorothy R. Jarvis, Annie Pearl R. Shore, Hazel R. Hinshaw, Myrtle “Ruth” McCollum; and a grandson, Roger Lewis Mofson. Roger is survived by his children, Terina R. (Michael) Lineberry, Teresa R. Mofson (James McClanahan), Tony (Diane) Reece, Timothy (Michelle) Reece, and Troy (Diane) Reece; grandchildren, Carrie Amanda Mae Lineberry, Timothy R. (Jessica) Reece, Jr., Tamara (Sean) Phillips, Tiffany (Dustin) Kidd, Tony Ray (Esme) Reece, Talbert (Brittany) Reece, Taylor Reece (Jacob Anderson), Tyler (Kenzie) Reece, Travis Reece, Katie Reece; great grandchildren, Alexis, Hunter, Remington, Brock, Terryn, Preston, Pierson, Presley, Emrie; a sister, Libby “Janie” Hunter; and a brother, Edward “Ray” Reece. 

A memorial service for Roger will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, January 13, 2025 at the Gentry Family Chapel in Yadkinville by the Rev. Josh Williams. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM prior to the service on Monday at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville.

The family would like to send a special thank you to Jeffrey Michael “Mike” Lineberry and Roger’s caregiver, Nancy Carter, for the love and care each of them showed Roger through the years. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to New Horizons Adult Day Services. 1917 W Main St, Yadkinville NC, 27055.
