It is with deep sorrow that we share the news of the unexpected passing of Cody Brooks Alldridge; our cherished husband, father, and friend. He passed away suddenly and painlessly beside the love of his life, Holli on June 28th at the age of 62. Our hearts ache with the loss of our beloved Cody, who left us far too soon.
Cody was born on May 27, 1962 in Midvale, Utah. He is the son of James William Alldridge and Elva Joy Elser; and brother to Randy, Billee, Jim, Jody, Jamie, DeeDee, and Shaunee. While living in Midvale, he made meaningful, lifelong friends. He led an adventurous life and made amazing memories with his dear family and friends; skiing, hunting, annual visits to Idaho, Arizona, Flaming Gorge, and raising a bit of hell wherever he went. Cody was kind, talented, artistic and his charismatic energy was larger than life which made him quickly liked by all. Growing up, football was paramount in Cody's life; beginning in little league and following him to Hillcrest High. He then embarked on a new chapter with pride, serving in the air force.
In 1991, Cody met his true love, Holli Hammond. They married within 7 months on October 4th. The love felt for his darling wife was unmatched and they spent 32 years by each other's side. Through all the ups and downs, they held onto each other with enduring love. Together, they built their family homes and had 5 beautiful children: Kaleb, Justin, Jaisi, Natali, and Skyli. Cody's wife and children were his world. Cody gave his kids an extraordinary upbringing full of excitement and adventures. They spent many years in Texas where he lived out his true cowboy life; racing horses, running a ranch, and going to rodeos. 'Dad' taught his children to be tough, independent, brave, and strong. Dad was a true bad-ass and he taught his kids to be the same. In 2013, Cody's precious granddaughter Kayzlie joined their family. 'Papa' was loving, playful, and proud.
Cody's independent, go-get-em work mindset made him the best at everything he did. He was an amazing salesman, entrepreneur, and bodybuilder. He won a multitude of awards including" Mr. Utah 1998" and "The People's Choice award in the Parade of Homes."
Cody found a new passion when he and his wife moved to Florida. The last 3 years of his spectacular life, Holli and Cody spent their days relaxing on the beach and paddleboarding the ocean mangroves. Holli was Cody's soulmate and anyone who knew them would tell you that they adored one another. "A true love story never ends."
Cody lived a legendary life. He knew exactly who he was and where he stood; his humor, stories, and laughter brought joy to all around him. His strong opinions and unwavering love for life left an everlasting impression on all who had the privilege to know him. His legacy lives on forever in our memories, our hearts, and by our side.
