Cody Mark Eide, 58, of the Gold Butte area, passed away in his sleep on December 18th, 2025. Cody spent his childhood in the Fred and George Creek oilfield, where his dad was employed. He went to elementary school in Whitlash and graduated from NTCHS in Sunburst. He attended college in Havre, and then went on to work many jobs, including heating and cooling, oilfield drilling rigs, gravel crushing, installing McDonalds signage all over the US, the windfarm, and most recently had returned to the ranch full time as a partner with his parents. He was a great cattleman.
Cody had a heart of gold and was always willing to lend a hand or help out. He had a quiet nature with a soft spot for animals and usually had a cat following at his heels.
Cody was preceded in death by his daughter McKenna, his maternal grandparents Ward and Lorraine Stores, his paternal grandparents Lester and June Eide, Aunt Marie Englund and Uncle Cal Stores. He is survived by his parents Les and Jackie Eide of Galata, brother Matt (Eileen) Eide of Whitlash, sister Dusti (Don) Davis of Valier, nieces Mariah Eide and Mikayla Snellman, nephews Zane Eide and Brody, Dillon and Bryson Connelly, Aunts Loxi (Dale Mailand) and Dixie (Ken) Davis and Elaine (John) Lesher. He is also survived by his extended daughter Briana Taylor (Cody Boone) and their children Sammuel and Emma and many cousins and friends.
If you knew Cody, you know he wasn’t info fanfare, so a private family burial with take place at the ranch.
