In Loving Memory of Cody Schlinker - Adams
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Cody Douglas Adams (Schlinker), 36, of Booneville, Arkansas. Cody departed this life on May 23, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and beauty. He was born on April 27, 1989, in Fort Smith, Arkansas, to Mikel & Kathy (Miller) Schlinker.
Cody was a talented cosmetologist and permanent make-up artist and the proud owner of Truly Be-You-tiful Salon in Booneville. Cody's passion was bringing joy to others, helping them feel confident and beautiful while sitting in his salon chair. His warm spirit and infectious laughter impacted everyone he met. He cherished traveling, especially to Florida and the Caribbean, and found joy in cruising to new places while making lifelong friendships along the way.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Corey Schlinker, and grandfather, Joe Schlinker. Their spirits now welcome him with open arms. Cody's radiant energy, generous heart, and unwavering love will be missed beyond words. His life was a testament to the beauty of friendship, family, and embracing joy in every moment.
Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 5 to 7:00 P.M. at Starting Point Ministries in Magazine.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at Starting Point Ministries in Magazine, with burial in Ellington Cemetery in Magazine, under the direction of Bulger Funeral Home.
Cody is survived by his devoted husband, Ryan; A beloved son, Christopher Jase (CJ) Norris. He also leaves behind his parents, Mikel & Kathy Schlinker, brothers Anthony Miller of Magazine, David Schlinker of Bryant, and sister Heather Shatzer and Stephen of New Hope. His maternal grandparents, Claude & Betty Miller of Magazine, paternal grandparents Sue & Pat Weaver, In-laws Barbara Adams & Wayne Van Buren of Russellville, and Charles & Wanda Adams of Dover, and sister-in-law Nikki Aitken & brother-in-law Todd Aitken of Hot Springs. Cody also had a large and loving extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends who will cherish his memory.
Pallbearers will be Tim Miller, Brad Terry, John Terry, David Miller, Todd Aitken, Utah Aitken, Caleb Miller, Blake Miller.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Caden Miller, Austin Phillips, Colby Swafford, Blazen Jones, Will Tanner, and Patrick Jones.
