Ruth Ellen Fitzjurls, 60, of Magazine, Arkansas, passed from this life on Friday, August 1, 2025, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was born, August 9, 1964, in Kansas City, Missouri to the late Forrest Allen and Rhea (Meeks) Duren. Ruth was a member of Starting Point Ministries in Magazine. She loved cooking, traveling, visiting with family and friends, going to church, and helping others. She worked several years for the Booneville Human Development Center as the kitchen supervisor and for the Magazine Super Stop as the cashier shift manager. She was an avid fan of the Kansas City Royals and the Kansas City Chiefs, she enjoyed spending time with her husband and family and spoiling her dog, Little Man. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Milford Bane Hale; her parents before mentioned; 1 sister, Patricia Duren; 3 brothers, Paul Dean Duren, James Allen Duren and Bedford E. Duren. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5 to 7:00 P.M. at Starting Point Ministries in Magazine. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, August 6, 2025 at Starting Point Ministries in Magazine, under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home. Ruth is survived by her husband, Mike Fitzjurls of Magazine, AR; 1 stepson, Terry Dwayne Hale and wife Karen of Westminster, California; 1 stepdaughter, Kimberly Ann Job and husband Richard of Anaheim Hills, California; 2 brothers, Tommy Duren and wife, Tami of Belton, Missouri and Steven Duren and wife, Sheila of Bella Vista, Arkansas; 1 sister, Mary Stradford and husband Tom of Archie, Missouri; 4 step grandchildren and 4 step great grandchildren; sister-in-laws, Carmen Duren of Oak Grove, Missouri and Margaret Mae Duren of Oklahoma, other relatives and many friends.
